Never been to Spain before. My first trip was more of a leisure one, so much needed!
Beach, sun, lounge music and paella.. Yes please! 🙂
Arrived at Malaga airport (with Ryanair) where you can get either buses or taxis to Marbella.
You don’t really need to prebook your bus tickets (unless you are very very organised, not like me), as there are information desks as you get outside the airport and the stations are just there.
Tickets are aprox 7 Eur/person/way and it takes about 40 mins to get to Marbella. The last stop is at the main central bus station.
As I stayed at the Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel, a 5 mins ride with a taxi to the hotel is necessary.
Once arrived, this hotel wasn’t exactly what I was expected. It was actually above my expectations..
In the lobby, you will find some shops if you fancy a bit of shopping and even a hairdresser. How cool?
But also, there is a lounge bar with piano live music whilst enjoying a drink 😉
Rooms are very clean and all with balconies, either sea view or mountain view.
If you decide to stay at this hotel, make sure you ask for a sea view room. It’s breathtaking!
Breakfast is included and a quite rich selection of food so not to worry about that.
By the pool, there is a bar where you can order food or drinks from.
What I did love about sunbathing by the pool is that the hotel will provide towels for each guest.
When you go out for a walk on the promenade, there is a lovely bar with a sea view.
You will find a lot of shops and restaurant on the promenade.
Eating out will cost between 15 and 25 Eur/person.
All depends on what you will want to have 🙂
Also, if you fancy clubbing or stay out until late, you can find different places to go around Marbella.
I have planned my next trip to Marbella already. Looking forward to enjoy it at Gran Melia Don Pepe 🙂
Buonas noches amigos!
